  Wales

The hills of North Wales form another majestic mountain landscape often visited by the Club. Usually we run one or two weekend trips a year to Snowdonia, staying at various locations. The Club has also twice run a Welsh 3000ers trip with participants attempting to summit on all 14 peaks over 3000ft in under 24 hours. Whilst the mountain ranges of Snowdonia may prove the popular choice, those of south Wales shouldn't be discounted. In particular, the Brecon Beacons offer dramatic summits more akin to the Highlands, but much more accessible to their Scottish counterparts. The Cambrian mountains of central Wales offer some of the most remote and peaceful walking in the country.
