   Langdale, Lake District

15 October to 15 October 2017

PAST EVENT: Week 1, term 1, 2017
Cost: £10
For the first trip of the term the hiking club is off to the beautiful valley of Langdale in the Lake District!

We'll be catching a coach from campus at around 8:30am on the Sunday morning. After the hour-long journey, walks will be announced and you'll get to pick whatever walk appeals most to you. We'll be finishing at around 5-6pm and the coach will have you back in Lancaster not later than 8pm.

There will be a good selection of walks available and we try to cater for all abilities. For example, there may be a group going up Crinkle Crags, Bow Fell and Esk Pike, another over the Langdale, and another taking the fantastic grade I scramble Jack's Rake up Pavey Ark (not for the faint hearted!). All route details will be finalised on the day, but take a look at our destination page about Langdale for some potential route choices, and lots of general information about Langdale.

Sign ups will start at the beginning of week 1, and places normally fill up very fast - so make sure you get your name down early! We look forward to meeting you all.
