Information on signing up for Club trips

Join the Club

To sign up for trips, you first need to be a member of the Club. Click here to find out how to join if you haven’t already.

To Sign Up for a Given Trip:

  1. Click here to visit the Hiking Club events page on the LUSU website
  2. Here, you’ll see a list of upcoming events. Clicking on a given event will show its availability.
  3. Follow the steps to book yourself a ticket through LUSU’s system and use a credit or debit card to pay

If you are signed up for a trip and can no longer come, you must let us know ASAP! This is the only way you’ll be in with a chance of getting a refund. More info can be found here.

If a particular trip is sold out, we’ll put any tickets made available by people dropping out up for sale as explained here.

We no longer accept cash payment for trips, so if you’re totally unable to pay online for whatever reason, contact us via Facebook or email.

Pro tip: your place on a trip is reserved for the remainder of your browser session as soon as you pass the step of selecting your ticket. There’s no need to rush entering your card details or filling out the questionnaire on the following pages!

Keeping Track of Events

The best way to find out which trips, socials and other events we have coming up is to view our calendar.

We try to make hikes available for booking by 1pm on the Tuesday 2 weeks before each hike (i.e. 12 days before a Sunday hike). However, due to constraints and dependancies on LUSU, we often aren’t able to confirm minibus bookings until later in the week, so if tickets aren’t yet available just keep an eye out, they’ll be there soon.
